The Edition based on a photo of the oil-painting Cage 6 from 2006 (cat. Rais. 897–6)
“The sheet does not belong to the normal imprint of the edition of 2011, but instead is a proof which was already created in 2009; two such proofs are known until now. The motif shows one of a total of 16 excerpts from the oil painting ‘Cage 6’ of 2006 (catalogue raisonné of the paintings, no. 897-6); the segment shown here corresponds to the excerpt identified with the letter I.
Since this sample was not yet known to me in 2014, I will now retroactively include it in my catalogue raisonné of the editions.”
